Jobs

EATS will pay competitive wages, but, emphasize local hiring. More importantly, employees will gain viable, in-demand skills that they can leverage into higher-paying positions anywhere. Training in warehousing and supply chain methods, helps the Supply Chain industry’s shortage of qualified labor that has created attractive pay scales. As an employment incubator, EATS anticipates the need to train new crops of employees more frequently than traditional stores, which in turn opens up more hiring opportunities. In this way, EATS offers more “jobs with a future” than standard supermarkets.

EATS intends to hire from the local community, providing jobs and training in:

Warehousing and Distribution Warehouse employees will learn sophisticated warehousing and distribution methods and technology.

Culinary Arts Graduates from culinary schools will be provided needed practical experience.

Retail/Personal Shopping Assistants: Retail employees will be trained in the basic overall operations of the store, including the technology-driven shopping experience, communications, and how to deliver a true concierge-shopping experience.

Teen Entrepreneurship Program: Teens and young adults can earn performance-based income and bonuses for distributing flyers in designated sales territories, which will drive traffic to each store. Compensation will be based on the membership grown in their territory (membership resellers are primarily local churches who retain half of memberships they sell).

  • EATS is anticipated to go beyond providing improved health that is anticipated to cost an additional half Trillion dollars annually when today’s obese children become obese adults. Eight years ago we had the first generation that is not expected to live as long as their parents. In Chicago there is as much as 15-year lifespan difference between Chicago zip codes.
  • EATS is also expected to reduce crime where there is now a one in fifteen chance of being a victim in the targeted communities.
  • Some communities have had 50-years of neglect. Isn’t it time to be responsive to this embarrassing condition?
